Our team is actively seeking funding to create a wellness spa that empowers clients to be in charge of their own service experience. To make this happen, we’re using an investment crowdfunding campaign. Using the latest, fully-automated technology like the Cocoon, clients are able to customize their wellness experience to help them improve their skin, reduce stress, lose weight, and feel revived.

Current Solutions

Wellness can include a wide range of activities: diet, fitness, sleep, beauty, and others. Each of these is part of a growing consumer need to actively seek out solutions for health and well-being as part of their lifestyle.

To better understand our market area, our segment is wellness treatment services.

Massage is the most common wellness service in the U.S. with facials second in popularity.

While in their home purchase area, consumers are using services from providers employing a variety of business models. These include massage treatments from independent operators, combination chiropractic and massage groups, chiropractors offering hydromassage services, massage-centric operators, fitness and social club membership centers with staff or adjunct massage services, massage training schools, and luxury spa or hospitality-based operators.

Skin care related treatments, predominantly facials, are offered by medical spa businesses, in combination with manicure/pedicure services, hair salons with broadened spa-style services, and by luxury spa or hospitality-based operators.

Services nearly identical to those we plan to offer have been mostly provided in specialty spas at premium rates.

About a third of the wellness service market is not regularly, or as frequently as they want, booking appointments due to cost or perceived lack of time. Viewed as a luxury or non-essential item, they are sometimes unwilling to negotiate for these services as a portion of a monthly health budget.

Demand for wellness services is based on consumer’s need to feel and look better. This behavior is fed by the key trends of:

  1. Modern home and work lifestyles – stress, anxiety, sleep issues, and depression
  2. Greater awareness of health and wellness services – via social media/online
  3. Large aging population – living longer + seeking solutions for chronic conditions
  4. Unfulfilled expectations and frustration with health care systems

Market Indicators

Previous to 2020, US Spa market maintained 9 years of consecutive growth in revenue. Spa category revenue reached $18.3 billion in 2018 (American Spa).

Although 2020 will likely see an estimated decline in revenue of 7.7%, an increase in the number of service options and high disposable income are projected to provide a rebound post Covid. (Ibisworld)

Competitive Advantage

By offering a significant portion of the sessions as self-serve, staffing expenses are greatly reduced which increases affordability. Leveraging moderately larger volumes and self-service, we believe we can tap the larger middle income market for wellness services vs. only affluent customers. Also, by offering session times as short as 15 minutes and “all you care to schedule” monthly packages, we will leverage our positioning as a flexible, time and cost efficient choice.

Perks & Profit Sharing

As we build the business, we intend to provide ongoing returns as Gross Profit Sharing Units to all Minnesota investors. The Gross Profit Sharing Members, as a group, will entitled to ~100.00% of all gross profits, until such time as their Units have been redeemed by the Company. Each Gross Profit Sharing Member’s pro rata percentage of these cash distributions will be calculated by dividing such Gross Profit Sharing Member’s capital contributions by the total capital contributions of all Gross Profit Sharing Members. 

For example, assuming all 500,000 Gross Profit Sharing Units are sold, an investor who makes a $50,000 investment in the Company will be entitled to 10.00% of the aggregate cash distributions until the full Investment Amount of the Gross Profit Sharing Member has been redeemed in full.
